Idea Rockets, LLC specializes in branding and marketing solutions for small to medium sized businesses and organizations. We understand the unique challenges they face and bring a fresh perspective coupled with creative juices to satisfy their marketing needs. Inspired by the opportunity to help small businesses, the company was founded in 2004 by president and owner, Kristen Maes. Since it's inception, the company has helped numerous clients throughout the Pacific Northwest and as far east as North Carolina.
So, where did the name “Idea Rockets” come from?
Ultimately, it came from the concept of wanting to help small companies launch their business skyward to become bigger and better. And to do this, you need really great ideas!
The “rocket” came into play because Kristen and her husband, Rich, actually build and launch big, high-powered model rockets. They are both certified in rocketry too! Kristen is a level 1 "rocket scientist" and Rich has a level 2 certification (which basically allows him to build really big, explosive rockets.) Kristen is also a member of the National Association of Rocketry (NAR).
A little more about the founder...
Kristen Maes has over a decade of marketing and public relations experience. She holds an MBA from Webster University and a Bachelors degree from Eastern Washington University, double majoring in Marketing and Management. An energetic professional and Spokane native, Kristen worked for companies such as Webster University, Agilent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, and National Data Corporation prior to launching Idea Rockets.
Active professionally, Kristen currently serves as Vice Chair on the board for Women Executives of Liberty Lake (WELL), is President of the Central Valley Kindergarten PTO, a member of the Parent Advisory Council, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and has served with the board at Spokane Teachers Credit Union on various business committees. She has also served with Habitat for Humanity’s Public Relations Committee and is a past board member for the Inland NW Chapter of American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), having served as the VP of Finance.
